Mentalists are considered mind readers because those people are able to read subtle cue from our body language or by the way we interact with them (voice tonality and/or eyes movements, etc.)
People inside Quebec have often heard the name of Gary Kurtz since he’s known in this domain now but there are still people reporting that he’s "cheating" his way through. Anyway.
Derren Brown is world known for is talent in mentalism. Go to http://www.channel4.com/ to check out some of the "tricks" he does. You’ll be amazed. If you get his DVD, you’ll see him realize a trick called PhotoReading, which allows him to read a full book (200+ pages) in less than 30 minutes and have about 70%+ comprehension. He also get tested with words in the dictionary and is able to tell the word after the one he’s asked to give out.
